I have to say I am not a surfer but can I appreciate those who can. Yes. Our little town is bustling with young surfer boys and girls from all over the world. Local businesses are profiting and putting our quiet little sleepy town on the map. I have to say that at the local Econo today, I almost asked for an autograph ....kind of exciting.

Hello friends, I have finally had the courage to post this little blog that I have been working on. I just love this idea for a indoor outdoor room, it is so easy to create a homemade couch and create removeable and changeable slip cushions. Living in the islands, this is a perfect way to have a casual place thats easy to take care of and clean.

This is an easy solution for a cute subsitute for a headboard if you dont have one, plus its so sweet and beachy. Simple and suave, love the seashells hanging off the rope along the sides. Big fat Border of bold color below helps make this such a little island loving bedroom.

Are you looking for a low maintenance but high design way to update your containers? Succulents are the key, they are inexpensive, easy to pot, low water and high on the attractive side. The key to planting succulents is :

Use a a little sand in your soil
Make sure the pot has holes in the bottom, succulents need awesome drainage
Plant in 3, 5, or 7's
Do contrasting colors, if you do a milky blue, combine it with the chartreuse.

I am sorry, I have abandoned you. I have abandoned this sweet little blog I started when I began my adventure. I must tell you the truth, I got in over my head, I lost myself a bit. I pulled myself in too many directions and put my finger in too many pies. I am lost here. Looking for a place to fit. I am the the piece of the puzzle that you just cant find where it fits. I will try to keep my promises now, i will try to be more loyal to you, my sweet little blog. Everything has gone wrong but I am still looking, hoping and searching for my spot here.

~~~the move has begun...after months of the DHS keeping us waiting, we have gotten the go ahead along with the funding. I have started packing our sweet home in Tucson to move our life, my business and our world as we know it. what to pack? what will I need? what will I miss? what , oh what , do I do with this house full of things. If there is one thing that can make a person fall in love with Puerto Rico , its the vegatation. The plants, all the beauty, big and small.

Here are a few that I fell in love with on my travels. I am still unsure of most of the names, but give me time and I will have them for you.

So we have arrived. Well, I arrived. its been very interesting. I have been staying a t a little place called Villa Tropical, a sweet little surfer spot in Isabella,PR. we have had a plce right on the beach. Its been great, I went to the local grocery store ECONO, to purchase a few of the necessities since we have a little fridge. I have fallen in love with these sweet little roadside bakeries, they are everywhere, although I miss my coffee. You cant blink in the states without passing a coffee house or a Starbucks, I wonder the streets looking for a cup of coffee, and when I do find one, I get a cup of coffee in a dixie cup. ahhhh, I need Starbucks!

Hello friends,

Well, I am here. Its everything I thought it would and wouldnt be. Its beautiful and its humid, its

rural enough yet civilived. I have had very yummy local food.

My adventure started with my husband from the airport, at midnight, after traveling all day. We were really on each others last nerve before we realized just about everything we planned for our future would go wrong. Ahhhhh, welcome to PR, and to life. Its been difficult making friends, I dont fit in with the military base ladies and I am not fluent enough in spanish to fit in with the PR girls. I miss my girlfriends and I miss my business. I miss working and having people to hang and relate to. Hubby is getting on my nerves when he is around and when he is not around I am finding things to entertain myself but still ,it gets lonely doing it all by myself. But, on the brighter side, I am seeing the demons within and I have started actually talking to myself out loud now. I am getting weirder by the day ! ~whew~ lucky I am married...poor Mike.

I want to smell the ocean, the fresh edible air and feel my skin drink the humidity.

Nature and the people who love it. This weekend we did a romatic getaway in a Bed and Breakfast, for most folks they would be in love. We were in love, it was quiet. There were no phones, no internet, no TV. We were staying at The Chuparosa Inn, in Madera Canyon, where bird lovers come from everywhere for the the banding of the birds. Well, our little room was called the Nest, it had pictures of birds everywhere, our bed was a feather bed with feather pillows, and a feather comforter. I was like the princess in the pea. My husband on the other hand has a bad back and he didnt sleep a wink. Our room was right next to the bird sancutary the owners had built in which the have over 50 brid feeders and also feed the wild turkeys. Sounds like a great little natures dream. For me it mad eno differnce, I could sleep on a bathmat in a bus depot, but my sensitive little husband was attacked by the sounds of the wild turkeys and birds , as early as 3:30 am. I couldnt help but laugh and laugh.
